MSG NETWORK TO BROADCAST ISLANDERS GAME IN BROOKLYN
Sep 10, 2014Uniondale, NY (September 10, 2014) – MSG Network announced today that they will broadcast the second-ever NHL game at Barclays Center on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. vs. the New Jersey Devils. The Islanders will also telecast their preseason games on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. against the Carolina Hurricanes and Friday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. against the Boston Bruins on their video portal, located on the official team web-site.
Chris King will call the game along with analyst Butch Goring for the 7:30 p.m. contest between the Islanders and New Jersey Devils at Barclays Center. Fans will also have the opportunity to watch two other Islanders preseason games from the comfort of their homes. The Islanders official website, http://www.newyorkislanders.com/, will live stream the Islanders’ preseason game on September 24 at 7 p.m. against the Carolina Hurricanes and the preseason finale at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport on October 3 against the Boston Bruins. Greg Picker will handle the play-by-play duties on September 24, and long time radio announcer for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Phil Giubileo, will call the October 3 contest. Julian Coltre will provide color commentary for both games on IslandersTV.
King will call three broadcasts this preseason on the Islanders radio home, WRHU Radio Hofstra University 88.7 FM and WRCN Long Islanders News Radio 103.7. Picker will call the game at Barclays Center on WRHU. In addition to the three games listed above, WRHU will broadcast the Islanders preseason game from the Prudential Center on October 2 against New Jersey.
