JIMMY BUFFETT AND THE CORAL REEFER BAND TO PERFORM ON NEW YEAR’S EVE AT BARCLAYS CENTER
Jun 18, 2015BROOKLYN (June 18, 2015) – Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will ring in the New Year at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Dec. 31, 2015. The show will mark Buffett’s first New Year’s Eve show in New York City. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale in September.
Jimmy has recorded more than 50 albums, most of which have gone gold, platinum or multi-platinum, and is known for his chart-topping hits like "Margaritaville," "Cheeseburger In Paradise" and "Come Monday." This year marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Jimmy's A1A album, his first Top 40 record, which includes the song, "A Pirate Looks At Forty," a perennial concert favorite.
Past New Year’s Eve performers at Barclays Center have included JAY Z and Coldplay, Billy Joel, and Elton John.
“Barclays Center has established a tradition of hosting iconic artists on New Year’s Eve,” said Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark. “Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will provide another memorable night as they bring their one-of-a-kind sound to Brooklyn.”
As with all events at Barclays Center, arena staff will work closely with the MTA to coordinate mass transit to and from the arena and with the NYPD and other City agencies to ensure safety and security procedures are strictly followed and enforced.
