BARCLAYS CENTER TO HOST KICKOFF IN BROOKLYN
Dec 16, 2013BROOKLYN (December 16, 2013) –Barclays Center will host the first-ever Kickoff In Brooklyn featuring three consecutive nights of premier events as part of a big sports and entertainment week in the New York area January 30-February 1, 2014.
On Thursday, January 30, a pair of former Welterweight champions, ‘Vicious’ Victor Ortiz and Brooklyn’s own Luis Collazo, will square off for the WBA International Welterweight title. In the 10-round co-main event, New York phenom Eddie ‘E-Boy’ Gomez will meet top prospect Daquan ‘King’ Arnett in a clash of junior middleweight unbeatens.
The following night, January 31, the Brooklyn Nets will host Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kickoff In Brooklyn concludes on Saturday, February 1 with the WFAN’S BIG HELLO TO BROOKLYN concert featuring Red Hot Chili Peppers, New Politics, MS MR, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, and Basic Vacation.
